About Flip Flap Signing
We are an independent book publisher of a children’s book on Baby Signing called, Flip Flap Sign Mealtime (only available in e-book format on Amazon right now). We understand the frustrations of people and babies who can’t understand each other before babies can talk. This is why we hope to our first book, Flip Flap Sign Mealtime, will make it easier for parents and care givers to communicate with babies earlier than they can talk to make their lives easier and more enjoyable.
About the Author of Flip Flap Sign Mealtime
Veronica is the mother of one daughter, who she successfully taught to sign. She took an American Sign Language class in middle school, and with that background started learning as many signs as she could and taught her hearing daughter baby signing, which helped her communicate before she was able to use spoken English. She started teaching Baby Signing classes in Fremont, CA at the Fremont Main Library in October 2015. She wrote this book to help more parents and their children, as well as early education educators learn baby signing as an early communication tool. Prior to writing, Veronica taught English as a Second Language to people of all ages and from all over the world. Studying languages has been a passion of hers since she was in high school. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2008 with a degree in Anthropology.
It is her hope that this book will be fun for babies, and educational for parents, family members, babysitters, daycare providers and assistants, as well as a useful tool for early childhood educators, such as preschool teachers, principals, and assistants.
